ANKENY — Juanita Staley, 67, of Ankeny, died on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Mercy One Hospice Home in Johnston, Iowa. Visitation will be on Sunday February 26, 2023, at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.

Juanita was born on September 18, 1955, in Webster City, Iowa, to James and Alma (Bailey) Staley. She attended the Webster City Schools, graduating in 1973, and then went to Iowa Central Community College, where she studied computer programming and secretarial.

She worked as a dispatcher for Iowa Tank Lines in Webster City and when the company moved to Omaha, she moved and continued working for them. She then worked as a transportation administrative assistant at Casey’s General Store corporate office, until her retirement in April 2022. Juanita enjoyed playing Bingo, reading books, and cards with friends and in casinos. She lived for Coca-Cola and collected its memorabilia.

Juanita’s family includes her siblings: Judy (Deane) Haack of Eugene, OR, Jerry (Pam) Staley, of Webster City, Jolene (Curt) Dammen, of Shelly, MN, Joyce (John) Mischel of Ankeny, and Jone (Miles) Golly of Ankeny; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: John Staley, Janice Payne, and Janey Dunn; sister-in-law Gloria Faiferlick.
