Sue Norem, age 80, of Ellsworth, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa.

Sue Ellen (Sampson) was born February 20, 1942, to Sanford and Eleanor "Bonnie" Sampson in Indiana.

She received her education at the Radcliffe Community School, graduating from Radcliffe High School.

On October 15, 1960 she was united in marriage to Marvin Norem at the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Radcliffe, Iowa.

Sue was a homemaker all of her married life. Marvin and Sue raised three children, Pam, Keith and Stephanie.

Sue was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Quilters and the Ellsworth Community Association.

She is survived by her husband Marvin of Ellsworth; a daughter Pam (Doug) Hocking of Ellsworth, a son Keith Norem of San Antonio, Texas and a daughter Stephanie Nicholson of Ellsworth; six grandchildren, Mackenzi Hocking, Preston Hocking, D.J. Norem, Morgan Norem, Brittany (Nick) Donscheski and Dustin Nicholson; one great-granddaughter, Maci Sue Donscheski; along with other family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents Sam and Bonnie Sampson.

A private immediate family graveside service was held Sunday, December 11 at the Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth, IA.
