Merritt Kim Reisetter, 68, of Radcliffe, IA passed away on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023.

Merritt was born February 27, 1954 at the Story City Hospital and raised on the Reisetter century family farm to Glenn and Letty (Hilpipre) Reisetter. Merritt was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church. Merritt graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1973 and went on to attend Northwest Iowa Technical School in Sheldon, Iowa, graduating in 1975. Following graduation, Merritt began working as an electrician and started Reisetter's Electric in February of 1976, partnering with his brother Rick Reisetter.

Merritt married Marilyn Tungesvik on May 24, 1980. To this union, two children were born. Daniel on September 24, 1984 and Ashley on February 28, 1988. Marilyn passed away from breast cancer in 1999. He later married Jan DeLanoit on July 1, 2005; to this union a blended family was created.

Merritt was active in the community of Radcliffe in many ways. He was a member of the Jaycees, Kiwanis and the Radcliffe Improvement Committee. With his knack for helping others and fixing things, he found great joy in the many projects around Radcliffe. He enjoyed taking his part in planning and organizing Radcliffe Days each year.

Merritt thoroughly enjoyed his work as an electrician, but what he loved most was helping others and spending time with family. He retired from Reisetter's Electric in 2008, but later found that retirement wasn't for him. He opened Short Circuit Electric in 2008.

In his free time, he loved camping with his friends in Radcliffe, cooking, shooting guns, fishing and spending endless hours in Menards. Merritt knew no stranger, he made friends everywhere he went.

Merritt Reisetter was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents Glenn and Letty, brother Bernie, brother-in-law James Gaunt, in-laws Silas and Alice Tungesvik, brothers-in-law Loren and Virgil Tungesvik and Jack Gordon, sister-in-law Cindy Windler and nephews Travis Gaunt and Jerad Tungesvik.
