Kenneth Swenson, age 76, of Ellsworth, IA, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2022 at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 28th, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Boeke Funeral Home in Radcliffe.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 29th, 10:30 am at the Elim Lutheran Church in Randall.

Burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe is caring for Kenneth and his family.

Kenneth Eugene Swenson was born on July 4, 1945 in Story County, Iowa. He was the younger of two sons born to Adner and Jennie (Denekas) Swenson.

Kenny grew up on the farm place south Ellsworth where he resided most of his life. Kenny graduated from South Hamilton High School with the Class of 1964.

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966. He did his basic training in Fort Jackson, SC. He served in Vietnam and was discharged in 1968.

On July 23, 1966 Kenny was united in marriage to Diane Knutson at the Zion Lutheran Church in rural Radcliffe. Kenny and Diane shared a deep love for one another for over 53 years raising their two children in Ellsworth, IA. Over the years, Kenny worked in maintenance, livestock and farming.

Kenny enjoyed camping, flea markets, horses and spending time around his family and friends.

Kenny passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Hubbard Care Center.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his two chilren Jerry (Shara) Swenson of Story City, IA and Ann (Marty) Jensen of Ellsworth, IA; grandchildren Justin Jensen, Austin Swenson, Curtis Jensen, Shelby Burks, April Holden, Danelle Swenson and Lane Swenson; great-grandchildren Genevieve Jensen, Easton Burks, Dakota Burks, Gentry Swenson, Hailey Holden and Kennen Jensen; along with many other relatives and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane and one brother Donald.
