Funeral services for Mrs. Carl L. McKibben, 97, longtime Webster City resident, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Arthur Oswald officiating. Burial was made in Graceland cemetery.

Mrs. McKibben died Saturday morning at the Hamilton county hospital.

Lina T. Tompkins, daughter of Simeon and Sarah Tompkins, was born Aug. 23, 1864 at Minier, Ill. She was reared and educated in that community.

She was united in marriage in 1883 to Edward L. West, and the couple resided in Illinois for several years, then moved to Webster City, locating on a farm west of this city. Her husband preceded her in death in 1903.

In January, 1913, she was united in marriage to Carl L. McKibben and they had always since made their home on a farm one and one-half miles northwest of Webster City.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Eva Hall of Sidney, Mont.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McKibben was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Grace Weseloh; by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
