Dolores Kauffman, 71, of Ankeny, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the Mercy Hospice Center in Johnston. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the Church of Christ. Private family burial was held on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Wright Cemetery, west of Jefferson, Iowa. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.

Dolores Anna Kraft, daughter of Fred and Marjorie Cahill Kraft was born on December 22, 1932 at Fort Dodge. She received her education from the Fort Dodge Community Schools and graduated from Iowa Central Community College where she received a degree in Nursing. On July 15, 1951 she married Floyd Alan Kauffman at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. In 1968 they moved to Webster City and in 2000 to Ankeny. Dolores was a sales representative for Avon in the Webster City area and also was employed by Walmart as a Pharmacy Technician. Mr. Kauffman died May 14, 2003.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Leslie Kauffman of Webster City, Joshua and Kelly Kauffman, John and Jason Kauffman, all of Ankeny; daughters and sons-in-law, Faun and Dave Wagner of Sunnyvale, Ca., Jennifer and Dave Tuttle of San Jose, Ca., Rhoda and Rick Roesler of LaCrosse, Wi., Eve and Bill Hatch of Prior Lake, Mn., Holly and Stu Schmitz of Ankeny, Joy and Troy Reisdorf of Webster City, Jessica Kauffman of Ankeny; 28 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister, Genevive Fibiker of Humboldt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband Floyd, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Pete Kraft.

Dolores Kauffman was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was greatly blessed by her Christian guidance, nurturing and care.

Mrs. Kauffman was a member of Lake County Bible Church of Polk City.
