A Celebration of Life service for Margaret Dannen will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2004 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Indianola, with graveside services held 3 p.m. Friday in the Williams Cemetery, Williams, Iowa.

Margaret passed away at Mercy Hospice in Johnston on August 31, 2004 after a lengthy illness of melanoma. She is now at home in the arms of her Lord.

Margaret Melinda Dannen was born to Melvin and Marilyn (Schutt) Ubben, August 23, 1958 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She received her education at Williams Elementary school and graduated from Northeast Hamilton in 1976. She went to college at U.N.I. in Cedar Falls and graduated in 1980 with an accounting degree. Later she received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 1992. She worked as an accountant for Burton Tracy Agency in Clarion, at I.S.U. in Ames, Creighton University in Omaha and Mercy Health Systems in Des Moines as an accounting manager.

On July 22, 1989 Margaret married Thomas Dannen of Melbourne at Faith Lutheran Church in Clive.

Survivors to cherish her memory are her husband, Tom Dannen and his parents, George and Marie Dannen, sister-in-law, Debra (Ed) Schmidt; brother-in-law, Douglas Dannen; nephews, Cody, Blaine, Heath Dannen and Michael Schmidt, niece, Nicole Schmidt, her mother, Marilyn Ubben; aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends and neighbors. Preceding her in death were her father, Melvin in 1991; her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials shared with the family will be given to Mercy Medical Center and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Margaret will be cherished by many as she was loved by all. She made a great impression in their lives by her loving care and kind relationships for them.
