Wanda E. Jeys, 88, LeMars, passed away July 21, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center in LeMars. Services were held at Carlson Funeral Home in LeMars with Mrs. Barbara Larson officiating on July 24. Order of the Eastern Star Service was held on July 23 and burial was in the Memorial Cemetery in LeMars.

Wanda E. Thompson was born Sept. 19, 1915 the daughter of Clarence C. and Artie Thompson on a farm near Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1934. She was united in marriage to Byron Jeys on Jan. 4, 1936. The couple lived in Webster City until 1951 when they moved to LeMars.

She enjoyed being active in the lives of her children. She had participated in PTA, Scouts, 4-H and Rainbow. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eastern Star.

Survivors include four children, Janeen Morel, Des Moines, Byron, Malawi, Africa, Rosemary and husband Larry Radloff, LeMars and Virginia and husband Mark Pulver, Greenwood, SC, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Anderson, Stanhope.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Geraldine, grandsons George Jeys and Caleb Pulver, son-in-law, John Morel, brothers, Sam and Melvin and sisters, Ina Meiners, Lois and Evelyn Thompson and Viola Chalfant.
