Frances Viola Heinzeroth, 65, Alden, died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden with Rev. Jay Jaeger officiating. Burial will be in the Alden Cemetery. Friends may call at the Surls Funeral Home in Alden Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. when the family will be present. A memorial fund has been established.

Frances Viola Wearda, daughter of Harry and Viola Elkin Wearda, was born Oct. 18, 1938 in Webster City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957 and graduated from Webster City Junior College in 1959. She taught third grade at Alden community schools from 1959 to 1962. She married Merle Heinzeroth on June 9, 1962 at Webster City. Frances and Merle resided in Alden where Frances was a housewife and mother. She was the Children's Librarian at the Dr. Grace O'Doane Alden Public Library from 1991-2003. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and her family.

Survivors are her husband, Merle, a son, Jeff Heinzeroth and his wife Robin of Alden, three daughters, Kris O'Brien and her husband John of Littleton, Colo., Lisa Prochaska and her husband Joe of Alden; and Amy Truax and her husband Brian of Elliott; seven grandchildren, a brother, Bob Wearda, Winter Park, Colo., and two sisters, Marlene Jackson and her husband Wayne, Webster City, and Phyllis McConnell and her husband Bruce of Littleton, Colo.

Her parents and a son, Tom Heinzeroth, preceded her in death.
