Margery Jane "Dolly" Casto, 80, Hubbard, formerly of Ellsworth, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000 at Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Rev. Mike Herschberger to officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery southeast of Ellsworth. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. Visitation continues Tuesday morning and afternoon until service time at the church. Becker Funeral Home of Jewell has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Margery Jane Hovda, daughter of Amos O. and Martha Thompson Hovda, was born on April 23, 1920 near Ellsworth. She grew up in the Ellsworth area and was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1938. She married Harold Lloyd Casto on August 18, 1961 at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. She was a homemaker and also worked outside the home. She was a member of the birthday club and served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a Girl Scout Leader. The couple had wintered in Arizona.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Bernie Heinen, Slater, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julie Pounds, Ellsworth, five grandchildren, Jonathon Heinen and Kevin Heinen, Huxley, Leah, Elyse and Conor Pounds, Ellsworth; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Sara Heinen, Huxley; a brother, Donald Hovda, Ellsworth; two sisters, Alice Olson, Radcliffe and Joan Rasmussen, Jewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, a son, Larry; three brothers, Harris, James and Robert Hovda; and two sisters, Maxine Pounds and Avis Stahl.
