Marion Malmstrom, 90, Webster City, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at the Crestview Manor Care Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the services on Thursday. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Elk Point, S.D., with Pastor Mary Feistner officiating at the graveside services at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Marion Bernice Moe, daughter of Ole and Maren Amundson Moe, was born Oct. 29, 1909 at Westfield, Iowa. She graduated from Westfield High School. On Sept. 11, 1936 she married Arthur Raymond Malmstrom at Sioux City. The couple had resided at Des Moines, Sioux City and Elk Point. Mr. Malmstrom died in 1987, she then moved to Webster City. In 1990, she moved to the Crestview Apartments and later to the care center. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Malmstrom is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Janice Malmstrom, Webster City; granddaughters, Janine Sharar and Jill Thomason, both of Webster City; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Bruce Allen Malmstrom; brothers, Edgar, Peder and George Moe; sisters Pearl Hoeven, Myrtle Baxter, Olga Neal, Lillian Adolphson and Jenny Toby.

She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City and the Webster City Senior Citizens Club.
