Bridget Koester, 45, of Des Moines, died on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 2:00-5:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, Iowa.

Bridget was born on May 30, 1977, to Rebecca “Becky” Dixon and David Koester in Webster City, IA. She graduated from Southeast Webster High School in 1995, and then AIB business College in 1998, after which she went to La James Cosmetology College. She was currently working at Shear Madness Haircuts for kids in West Des Moines, Ankeny, Iowa. In the past she was employed at Barr Nunn, Pagliai’s Pizza, and cared for her mother.

Growing up Bridget had a baby doll named Suzy La La, and while in High School she was a cheer leader. She had many different interests and hobbies, including miniature things, shopping, gardening, plants, and flowers. She enjoyed sharing memories with others, sending cards for holidays, or just because cards. She had a collection of Shoes and enjoyed buying random things and turning them into something else. She loved to have her nails done. Bridget attended Sunday School at Trinity Lutheran in Webster City and was Godmother of Madellane Hicks. Her laughter was unforgettable and those who knew her loved her fiercely.

Bridget’s family includes her beloved dog Max; father David Koester; sisters Alyssa (Zack Miller) Koester, and Whitney Miller; brothers: Dylan (Caitlin Efstathiou) Koester, and Trenton (Tammy Stueland) Dixon; step-father Allen Dixon; step-sisters: Allie and Ashley Jackson; nieces: Jordyn Stein, Addison Miller, Mckinley Doan, Aliyan Stueland and Mya MacRunnel; nephews: Hunter and Gage Dixon, Creed Miller, Desmond Weber, Cameron Stueland and Dallas Jackson; cousin (not her friend) Matira Balsley; many Aunts, Uncles and cousins; her amazing friends and co-workers at Shear Madness; and special friend Shawn Rains. She was preceded in death by her mother Becky Dixon; brother Jarid Koester; grandparents: Virginia and Delbert Koester, and Julie and Arnold Balsley. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Alyssa Koester.
