Hannah Anderson, 92, of Stratford, Iowa passed away at the Stratford Nursing Rehab Center in Stratford, Iowa on Monday morning, September 15, 2003 due to congestive heart failure. She had been a resident at the Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center in Stratford, Iowa since 1987.

She was born on February 12, 1901 in Stratford, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Ellen (Wistrom) Magnuson.

On June 26, 1938 she married Charles S. Anderson at the Swede Bend Mission Covenant Church in Stratford, Iowa.

Hannah was a 1930 graduate of Stratford High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and making baked goods.

She was a member of the Swede Bend Mission Covenant Church and later attended the South Marion United Methodist Church where she was very active.

Her parents, husband Charles in December of 1992 and 2 grandchildren preceded her in death.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Trudie Anderson of Ames, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Ivan Andersen of Stratford, Iowa, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Thursday afternoon, September 18th at 1:30 p.m. at the South Marion United Methodist Church in Stratford, Iowa with layperson Gina Spohnheimer officiating.

Interment was held at Oakwood Cemetery north of Stratford, Iowa.

The family was present at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to greet friends.

Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Stratford, Iowa were in charge of arrangements.
