Former Local Man Killed In Wisconsin

Lester Christenson, Jr., 21, who had just moved from Webster City to Wisconsin four weeks ago was killed early today in a two-car collision at West Allis, Wis.

Police reported that his car failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with an auto driven by Robert Hubbell, 36, also from West Allis. Hubbell suffered only minor injuries.

Funeral services are being scheduled at Jewell.

Christenson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Christenson, Sr., now residing at Storm Lake, Iowa, and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Christenson of Jewell.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Randy, nine weeks old; his parents, grandparents and a brother, Richard of Storm Lake.

Prior to moving to Wisconsin, Christenson was employed at Morton's Frozen Foods and was also formerly employed at Nissen Packing Co.

Funeral services for Lester Christenson, Jr., 20 will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Good Shepherd Catholic church in Jewell with burial in Evergreen cemetery at Jewell.

Mass will be said by Father Al McCoy of St. Mary's Catholic church, Storm Lake. Prayer services will be held at 8 o'clock tonight at the Becker funeral home, led by Father R.J. Sigworth.

Mr. Christenson was killed Wednesday evening in an auto accident at West Allis, Wis., where he was employed in a Coca-Cola plant.

Lester Christenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Christenson, was born at Jewell June 11, 1939 and attended the schools in Jewell.

He was united in marriage to Doris Kornack at Storm Lake Sept. 21, 1958. Mr. and Mrs. Christenson resided in Webster City before moving to West Allis about a month ago.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Randall; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Christenson of Storm Lake; one brother, Richard of Storm Lake, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Christenson and Hans Torgenson of Jewell.
