Edna S. Muklebust, 87, King City, Mo., formerly of Gowrie and Fort Dodge, died Monday, May 26, 2003 at King Center Manor, King City, Mo. Graveside services are Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at St. Olaf Cemetery in Fort Dodge with Rev. David Grindberg, pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge, officiating. There will be no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements.

Edna Syrene (Johnson) Muklebust was born August 8, 1915 on a farm southeast of Duncombe. Edna attended rural schools and graduated from Webster City High School. She resided in Fort Dodge until 1996 when she moved to King City, Mo., and in 1998 into the King City Manor.

Edna is survived by her four children, Alvin of Boulder, Colo., Arleen Townsend of Guilford, Mo., Ann Barnum of Sun City, Ariz., Alice Howard, Hastings, Minn., nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hannah Gunderson Johnson, her husband, Willis, sister Zelda Johnson and one great-grandson.
