Jennie Fisher Boehme, 85, Webster City, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Revs. John Grebner and Doug Tiffany to officiate. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation will be at the church from 12 p.m. to service time.

Jennie Marie Bates, daughter of Earl and Minnie Stoppelmoor Bates, was born May 23, 1917 at Highmoor, SD. In infancy, she moved with her parents to Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City Schools. On August 10, 1935 she married Guy Washington Fisher. The couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed as a cook and waitress at the Gold Room and as a seamstress at Coulter's Drapery. Mr. Fisher died on March 12, 1976. On Sept. 25, 1976 she married Leroy Herman Boehme at Webster City. She retired in September of 1976. Mr. Boehme died Feb. 14, 1985.

Mrs. Boehme is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Gene Hassebrock, and Arlene Fisher, all of Webster City; Charlotte and Dan Carrico of Jerome, Idaho; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (BoJack) and Alice Fisher of Castana, Iowa; Leland and Sharon Fisher of Des Moines; John and Connie Fisher of Wendell, Idaho, 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, sisters, Irene Claude of Nampa, Idaho, Myrtle Ledford of San Jose, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by fur sons, Leonard; twins, Jerry and Terry, Larry in 1995; her parents, brother, Walter Bates and sister Edna Jones.

Her memberships included Trinity Lutheran Church, Purity Rebekah Lodge #72 of Webster City as past Noble Grand; Royal Neighbors, VFW Auxiliary and L.A.P.M.
