Ruth Elizabeth Wilson, 85, Webster City, died April 11, 2003 at Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 2 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating.

Survivors are her husband Ray, sons Dick (Sally) of Webster City and Steve (Martha) of Ames; daughters, Judy Caquelin (Dale) of Webster City and Josie Campbell (Bob) of Fort Dodge; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her life long friend Dorothy Renaud of Ankeny also survives her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John R. and Mary Wheeler Crossthwaite, her brother Bob Crossthwaite and her grandson, John Wilson.

Ruth Elizabeth Crossthwaite was born Nov. 6, 1917 at Marshalltown. She spent much of her childhood in Corem, Montana. After graduating high school, she returned to Iowa and attended Central Iowa Business College in Marshalltown. On Oct. 2, 1938 she married H. Ray Wilson in Whitefish, Montana and returned to Iowa to establish residence. The couple moved to Webster City in 1945 where Mr. Wilson was in the food business.

Mrs. Wilson had a love for reading, a love of animals and a passion for beautiful flowers, and most of all; she loved being with her family.
