Elizabeth "Betty" Faulkner, 88, Webster City, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at Southfield Wellness Community, Webster City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Webster City, with Rev. John Grebner and Rev. Doug Tiffany officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday.

Elizabeth Erdman, daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth Erdman, was born Dec. 30, 1914 at Maywood, Ill. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Belmond. She received her education there. Employment brought her to Webster City. On June 4, 1940 she married Thomas Faulkner at Fort Dodge. For many years, they owned and operated Tom and Betty's Cafe. The couple retired in 1983. They continued to reside in Webster City but wintered in Mission, Texas.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Ron Wilson of Storm Lake, Judy and Wayne Ross of Sun City West, Ariz.; son Jerry Faulkner, Webster City, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Ann Pierce of Webster City, Minnie Johnson and Mary Pringntz, both of Belmond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, son, two sisters and one brother.

She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and past member of the Ladies of the Moose and bowled on several bowling teams.
