Beverly Ann Marker-Hallagan, 69, died Jan. 5, 2003 at her rural Clarion home from complications of kidney cancer. Funeral services were held Jan. 8, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Beverly Ann Adams, daughter of Truey (Ervin) and Mildred McFarland Adams of Webster City, was born Dec. 26, 1933. Most of her grade school years were spent in Webster City before she moved with her family to Madelia, Minn. where they lived for three years. She then returned to Eagle Grove in her sophomore year of school and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1953.

On May 6, 1956, she was married to Darwin Marker of Woolstock. To this union were born six children: Darla, Cindy, Deanna, Brian, Lana and Brenda. Darwin was tragically killed in a farm accident on Feb. 4, 1989. In July of 1999, she became reacquainted with a high school friend, Carroll Hallagan of Council Bluffs. They were married on June 24, 2000.

Survivors are her husband, Carroll; five daughters and spouses, Darla and Lon Tweeten of Woolstock, Cindy and Joe Howard of Webster City, Deanna and Kevin Lehman of Clarion, Lana and Steve Watne of Stratford, Brenda and Lyle Kapka of Clarion; one son and spouse, Brian and Kay Marker of Clarion; nine additional children and spouses, Sherry and Tim Arnett, Kim Coffman, Corey and Jodi Hallagan, Kelly and Denise Hallagan, Roxanne Hallagan and Shannon and Bill Gibson, all of Council Bluffs, Terry and Denise Hallagan, Shawn and Steve Erickson, both of Omaha, Neb., Penny and Larry Klusaw of Springfield, Neb.; 16 grandchildren, 13 additional grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Margaret Bailey, Martha Prunty and Mary Arduser; four brothers, Buster (Edward) Adams, Donald Adams, Erv Adams, Larry Adams and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, first husband Darwin, and a grandchild, Brandon Tweeten, preceded her in death.

Beverly was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Hospital Auxiliary, Wright County Farm Bureau Women, Utili Dulci Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Church of Clarion.
