Agnes Lillian Miller Hoy, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church.

She was born June 10, 1912 in Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of John and Annie L. (Wonder) Miller. She married Ora E. Hoy on April 9, 1934 at Adel, Iowa. She lived through the Roaring 20's and the Great Depression of the 30's and worked in the armament plant in Des Moines, Iowa during World War II and Morton Frozen Foods in Webster City. Agnes was a fun loving lady with a great sense of humor, was exceedingly kind to her family and friends, always putting them first. She was an accomplished seamstress and could knit, crochet and did embroidery. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Agnes is survived by two daughters, Diana Messerly and husband Doug of Webster City, Donna Monical and husband Jerre of Edwards, Mo., six grandchildren, Lance Messerly and wife Jodi of Webster City, Dawn Wesselman and husband Rick from Phoenix, Ariz., Lara Dillon and husband Brad of Des Moines, Amanda Monical and Alana Monical, Edwards, Mo., and Joshua Shiffer of Anchorage, Alaska. Agnes is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Herb Miller, Ralph Miller, Jack Miller, and one sister, Hilda Miller Edens.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
