Nancy Jensen, 52, Webster City, died Thursday, October 23, 2002 at the Israel Family Hospice House at Ames. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John Flaherty officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary and visitation was held Sunday evening at Foster Funeral Home.

Nancy Ann Nerland, daughter of Everett and Evelyn (Downs) Nerland, was born May 10, 1950 at Sandy Springs, Maryland. She graduated from Northeast Hamilton High School in 1968. She attended the nursing program at Iowa Central Community College. She worked in O.B. and E.R. nursing at Hutchinson, Ks., also worked at the Spencer Hospital and at Topeka, Ks. On July 22, 1977, she married Robert Allen Jensen at Royal, Iowa. The family had resided at Royal, Spencer, Topeka, Ks., Hutchinson, Ks., and moved to Webster City in 1999. She had been retired for the past 10 years because of failing health.

Mrs. Jensen is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Don Crabbs of McPherson, Ks.; Kelly and Rodney Sidener of Woodbine, Ks.; sons and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Ashley Jensen and Kyle Jensen, all of Kansas City; Aaron and Shanda Johnston of Hubbard; nine grandchildren, mother Evelyn Nerland of Williams, sisters, Mary Jan Stelzner of Albert Lea, Mn., Patty Hensley of Woodworth, La; brother Michael Nerland of Jacksonville, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and was a volunteer with Birthright while living in Hutchinson.
