Margery Ambrose, 78, Stanhope, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. The ashes will be buried in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Margery Jane Dawson, daughter of Francis and Vera Read Dawson, was born Feb. 1, 1924 at Enid, OK. She graduated from Lady of the Lourdes high school in Chicago, IL. On Aug 22, 1958 she married Chester Ambrose at Webster City. In Webster City she operated her own business. They moved to Apache Junction where she managed a mobile home court and was a tour guide. Mr. Ambrose died Sept. 10, 1997 and she moved to Stanhope.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Stan Housberg of Stanhope and Nancy and Doug Bailey of Webster City; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Dee Etter of Tucson, AZ, 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Marshall of Peoria and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.
