Becky Jo Mesik, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Majestic Care of Battle Creek. She was born on April 30, 1950, the daughter of George Mesik and Mildred (Dishman) Lamer.

Becky attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in both Battle Creek and Webster City, IA. She was employed at various businesses in Battle Creek. In August of 2002 she retired from the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center Defense Reutilization and Marketing department after 15 years of service as a Human Resources Technician Assistant.

Becky is survived by her of children, Sonja Nokes, Shawn Andrews, Danielle Matthews; grandchildren, Megan Sheldon, Amber Sheldon, Chelsea Wilhelm, Chanin Wilhelm, Darius Hall, Kristen Andrews, Ryan Andrews, Kiara Spann; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Suzan Mesik. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George and Alan Mesik.

Becky enjoyed reading, baking, gardening, taking care of her cats and participating in crafts. She loved being around the senior population because she connected with them and felt needed by them. She enjoyed volunteering for Ladies Aid, Saint’s Alive and Bible Study in Webster City, IA, and also with communion at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Battle Creek.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, on Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
