Steve "Pickett" Wilson, 55, of Webster City, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. John Flaherty officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday. Webster City Moose Lodge rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fosters.

Steven Lynn Wilson, son of Alvie and Helen Busing Wilson, was born August 14, 1949 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City school system. He worked at Baber Ford at Webster City. On July 14, 1973 he married Mary Rae Frideres at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. He had been employed at Franklin's, had owned and operated North Central Auto Body for several years and worked at Kelly's Place, all of these at Webster City.

Steve is survived by his wife, Mary; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Pat Wilson of Storm Lake; sister Pamela Wilson of Strong, ME; nieces and nephews, Susan Wilson of Minneapolis, MN; Matthew and Tiffany Wilson of Eden Prairie, MN; Jennifer and Jeff Christiansen of Carrollton, TX; Brian and Brianne Wilson of Iowa City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Carol Frideres of Taft, CA; Bill and Margaret Frideres and Gene and Betty Frideres, all of LuVerne; Chuck and Bonnie Frideres of Delafield, WI; Kay and Larry Heinen of Mountain Home, ID; Betty and Kenny Smith and Deb and Dale Stalzer, all of Livermore; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Jerry Frideres.

He was a member of Webster City Moose Lodge #735, Webster City Men's Bowling League and was a volunteer worker at the Moose Lodge.
