Don Lemon, 70, of Webster City, died late Sunday, June 5, 2005 at his home. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Graceland Cemetery with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Donald Roy Lemon, son of Roy and Lucille Peterson Lemon, was born June 10, 1934 at Webster City. He received his education at the Burnside Consolidated School where he graduated in 1953. He worked at the Lehigh Tile Plant. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army - Communications for two years. Following his discharge, he worked for Doolitle Farms and Huismann farms raising turkeys and farming. He then worked for Nissen's for 25 years. He had been an attendant at the Super Wash car wash for six years. He had been retired since 1999. On August 2, 1962 he married Ann Marie Grove at Webster City. They were divorced in 1983.

Mr. Lemon is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Allen Daniels of Eagle Grove; grandchildren, Joel Kern and Jenna Daniels; sisters, Betty Humphreys of Panora; Doris Anderson of Fort Dodge; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Peggy Lemon of Fort Dodge, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Walter Anderson.

He had been baptized at the Homer United Methodist Church in 1941.
