Vannakhone "Hondo" Vongkham, 45, of Webster City, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 in a two car accident near Sibley, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Revs. Travis Schmidt and Kham Phithong officiating. Visitation will be at Fosters from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service time. Following the service, the body will be cremated and the ashes will be buried in the Pakse Cemetery at Pakse, Laos.

Vannakhone Vongkham, son of Thongthanh and Kane Tran Vongkham, was born December 6, 1960 at Pakse, Laos. He received his education at Pakse and attended a Technical College. In the early 1980's, he moved to the United States, working at California, Omaha, NE, Sioux Falls, SD, Des Moines, Sheldon and Webster City in 1990. On July 2, 1994 he married Tracy Sackman at Keokuk. The couple resided at Webster City. He had been employed as a press operator at Electrolux for 14 years. The couple were divorced in 2004.

Mr. Vongkham is survived by his mother, Kane Vongkham; sister, Kaysone Nguyen; brother, Khamphou Vongkham, all of Melbourne, Australia; sisters,, Manivone Viravong; Boun Sou Vongkham; Bounhome Vongkham and Vilayphone Vongkham, all of Vientiane,, Laos; fiance, Sengkeo Lovan of Lou PraBong, Laos, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thongthanh Vongkham; sister, Manivanh Vongkham and grand parents.
