LeRoy "Sam" Strunk, 69, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, a former Webster City resident, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Sturgis, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center at Webster City with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, south of Lehigh. Visitation will be at Fosters from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.

LeRoy Delbert Strunk, son of Matt and Iona Wessel Strunk, was born August 2, 1935 at Lohrville, Iowa. He moved to Webster City at the age of 18 and was employed as a refrigeration mechanic for Morton Frozen Foods. On June 26, 1961 he married Karen Elsberry at Blue Earth, Mn. The couple resided in Webster City. He had been employed at Smithway Motor Express and Decker Trucking Company, both of Fort Dodge. He then opened and operated Sam's Refrigeration and diesel repair for eight years at Highview. For ten years, he was employed with Hamilton County as a mechanic. The couple retired to Bella Vista in August of 2000.

Sam is survived by his wife Karen; sons and daughters-in-law Ken and Wendy Strunk of Webster City; Keith and Misty Strunk of Sturgis, Ky.; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Dan Supple of Bella Vista; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; several brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

LeRoy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
