Edna Mae Bourne, 87, of Webster City, died Wednesday, March 10, 2005 at the Southfield Wellness Community. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Radcliffe Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Edna Mae Bourne, daughter of Russel and Edna Lauther Bourne, was born May 30, 1917 on a farm east of Ellsworth. She had glaucoma at the age of three months. She attended School at Ellsworth until the 8th grade, then went to the Vinton School for the Blind through high school. She also attended college for one year. She had won awards for her rug weaving designs and also leather lacing work.

Ms. Bourne is survived by a brother, Roy S. Bourne of Palm Harbor, Fl. and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stanley, Glen and Russell Bourne.
