Audrey Hutson, 75, of Pleasanton, California, a former Webster City resident, died Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 14 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Audrey Lucille Smith, daughter of Arnold and Effie Fleenor Smith, was born January 16, 1930 at Washington County, Virginia. She received her elementary education at Richmond, Indiana. She moved with her family to Webster City and graduated from Lincoln High in 1948. She was employed at the Glen Weldon Insurance Agency. On June 24, 1951 she married Ivan Meredith Hutson at the First Baptist Church at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at Dr. J.L. Ptacek's office, Karr and Karr law office and retired from Schlotfeldt Engineering. The couple moved to California in the spring of 1992.

Mrs. Hutson is survived by her husband, Ivan; daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Randy Etter of Pleasanton; son Tim Hutson and fiance, Maria Thompson of San Jose, Ca; grandchildren, Josh, Brandon and Shawn Etter; sisters, Wanda Dingman and Nancy Smith, both of Webster City; Norma Schutt of Jefferson; brother Arnold Smith of Manson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Linda Brown and Betty Burke.

She was a member of the Church of the Valley at San Ramon, Ca., a former member of the First Baptist Church at Webster City, where she faithfully served her church in many different capacities.
