Phyllis (Phee) Bruner, 78, Webster City, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 at Crestview Manor. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Kem and Rev. James Buffington officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home and prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Phyllis Agnes Rasmussen, daughter of Alfred and Mary Tatham Rasmussen was born March 18, 1923 at Webster City. She received her education from the Webster City Schools. On Sept. 17, 1944 she married Raymond Bruner at Webster City. The couple made their home in Webster City where she was a dedicated housewife and mother. Mr. Bruner died on January 18, 1980.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Gretchen Bruner of Webster City, Steven and Joni Bruner of Marshalltown, grandchildren Christa Stirling of Olathe, Ks., Joel Bruner of Manchester, NH, Derek and Casey Bruner, both of Marshalltown; great-granddaughter, Hannah Stirling of Olathe and fiance Damon (Bud) Smith, Webster City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kathlyn (Mrs. Max) Maxon, adopted brother, Don Rasmussen, adopted sister, Charlotte (Mrs. Jim) Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Bruner was a member of the First Baptist Church, Alethians Adult Sunday School Class, PEO and the Sit and Sew Sewing Club. She delivered Meals on Wheels for several years, enjoyed china painting, working with stained glass, sailing, golf, knitting, singing and playing bridge with friends. Phee loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
