Eleanore Schroeder, 77, Webster City, died Dec. 24, 1996 at Hamilton County Public Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church, Webster City, with Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today until 8 a.m. Friday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Eleanore Louise Bahrenfuss, daughter of Benjamin and Elva Doolittle Bahrenfuss, was born Sept. 12, 1919 on a farm northeast of Webster City. She attended a rural school and graduated from Webster City High School in 1937. She received her teaching certificate in 1939 and taught in Hamilton County. On April 4, 1942, she married Adolph Albert Schroeder at Rolla, Mo. She continued teaching and for several years, was a cook at Hamilton County Public Hospital. She retired in 1983.

She is survived by her husband, Adolph; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jim Elkin, Oakton, Va.; granddaughters, Jodi and Jana Elkin; sisters, Mae Bruns, Dorothy Jean Roe; brothers, Lee and Keith Bahrenfuss, all of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Bahrenfuss; sisters, Leila Roe, Shirley Mourlam.

Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the Faith Circle of her church.
