Morris Lynn Greenfield, 72 of Ames, died Friday April 2, 2021 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames surrounded by his family.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Ames. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on Morris' Tribute Wall on the Adams Funeral Home Website or on the First United Methodist Website. A public gathering will be held from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Big Bluestem Shelter at Moore Memorial Park, 3050 Northridge Parkway, Ames, IA, 50014.
Morris was born December 17, 1948, in Webster City. The son of Edwin and Della [Johnson] Greenfield. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1967 and from The University of Iowa in 1971.
Morris married Sue (Pringle) Greenfield on September 5, 1970. He spent most of his life in Ames where he and Sue raised their three children. He worked for Ames Processed Foods and later as a Promotions Manager for Super Valu.
Morris enjoyed fishing, golfing, his weekly coffee with friends and anything involving his seven grandchildren. His life was full of great friends and a loving family.
Morris is survived by his wife, Sue of Ames; sons, Phil (Kristina) of Ames and Jay (Nicki) of Johnston; daughter, Jenny (Ryan) Mullen of Solon; brother, Roxy of Ankeny; sisters, Lois of Tennessee, Maureen (Greenfield) Knott of Herford, Arizona; and grandchildren, Brady, Mary, Beau, Elizabeth, Kinsley, Kaelyn and Kyllah. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Artis and Pam; two brothers, Dwayne and Keith.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Adams Funeral Home and online condolences may be left to Morris' family at www.adamssoderstrum.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Ames.
