Services were held Jan. 30 at Ankeny Funeral Home for Mildred Ellen Snyder, 82, formerly of Webster City. Burial was in the Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Snyder died of a heart ailment on Jan. 26.

Mildred, daughter of Newton and Minnie Coffin Hosler, was born October, 29, 1918 at Burnside, Iowa. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1936. She was united in marriage on March 29, 1938 to Clem Snyder at Bethany, Missouri. The couple resided in Webster City 26 years before making their home in Ankeny in 1966. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Webster City, she had been a Girl Scout Leader, homemaker and seamstress.

She is survived by her husband Clem, twin sister, Maxine Stull, Simi Valley, Calif., sisters, Doris Guice, Yonkers, NY, Delpha Greenley, Webster City and Lora Crosby, Cedar Rapids; three granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son LeRoy and brothers Layton, Harwin and Eldon.
