C. L. BOYNTON DIED THURSDAY

Services to be Monday for Widely Known Local Resident.

Charles L. Boynton, 73, widely known resident of the Webster City and Homer communities, died Thursday morning at the hospital where he had been a patient, the past several days. Mr. Boynton had been ill only since Sunday.

Funeral services will be held Monday, afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Foster Funeral home, the Rev. W. R. Yard officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Son of B. E. and Mary Boynton, Charles Boynton was born July 1, 1870, on a farm southwest of Webster City, He lived in that community until 1925 when he retired from farming and moved to Webster City to make his home. June 29, 1892, he was married to Bertha Thompson and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary a year and a half ago.

Besides his wife, Mr. Boynton is survived by three children, Gladys at home, Mrs. Lerlene Matthews of this city, and Orville of Boone. There are also three grandchildren, Delores and Sandra Boynton and Bernard Matthews. One sister, Mrs. J. L. Peterson, and a brother, Clarence, live in Webster City; another brother, George, in Chico, Cal.

Mr. Boynton was preceded in death by one son, who died in infancy, his parents, and one brother, Elmer.

A member of the Baptist church at Homer and later in this city, Mr. Boynton was always active in church work and in his attendance at the services. He enjoyed his neighbors and friends and one of his favorite past times was visiting them.
