Friday, January 5, 2001Lavey E. Linder, 82, Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 at the Marian Home at Fort Dodge. Mrs. Linder was cremated. There will be no visitation. A memorial funeral mass will be conducted by the Glenmary Home Missionaries. Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Foster Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lavey E. Linder, daughter of James and Edith Tutcher Ingle, was born April 21, 1919 at Overbrook, Kansas. She received her education from the Overbrook Schools. She was a Registered Nurse Graduate of Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. On Nov. 23, 1940 she married Wayne C. Linder at Marshall, Missouri. She was employed as an industrial nurse for Montgomery Ward and Co. in St. Paul, Mn. In 1972, she retired because of a disability and moved to Webster City. In 1976, she became a resident of the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. In 1999, she moved to the Marian Home in Fort Dodge.
Mrs. Linder is survived by a daughter, Judith Shepard, Webster City; two grandchildren, Kim Arth and Molly Shepard Robinson, great-granddaughter Emelyn Grace Robinson and a brother, Gerald Ingle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Linder, daughter, Karen Haug, and two brothers, Ralph and Daryl Ingle.
She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City.
