Lockjaw Caused by Wrestling.

Webster City, Ia., May 24.—The most pitiful death that ever occured in Hamilton county was that of John Singer, living six miles south of this city, which occurred Monday. He was wrestling in a spirit of fun with his brother and was thrown to the ground in such a way that his ankle was so wrenched that it produced lockjaw. Dr. Desmond was summoned. The action of the injured man was something terrible. He would throw his head back and finally, in great misery, with a convulsive movement, every muscle and bone set, the end came.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1867 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery.
