Ronald Brozek, 65, of Kamrar, died Monday, January 8, 2001 at his home. Mr. Brozek was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral home with Rev. Brian Carter officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191 at the funeral home. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour before the service time.

Ronald Joseph Brozek, son of Joseph and Margaret Phillips Brozek, was born July 16, 1935 at Omaha, Ne. He graduated from high school at Salem, Or. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. His last station was at McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Wa. He retired in 1975 as staff sergeant. He worked as a security officer in a Tacoma bank. In 1987, he moved to Reno, Nv. and worked as a security officer at the Nugget Casino and Resort. On June 21, 1992 he married Ruth Benson Heiden Crawford Moore at Reno. He retired due to failing health in 1998. In August of 2000, the couple moved to Kamrar.

He is survived by his wife; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Ancie Brozek of Sweet Home, Or., Mark Heiden, Rodney and Kim Heiden all of Clarion, daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Brozek of Tacoma, Amy and Burton Pigsley of Kamrar; 4 grandchildren, brother, Bob Brozek of Anchorage, Ak., aunt, Phyllis Phillips of Salem, Or.

He was a member of the American Legion Post # 0001 of Reno.
