Death Takes Old Resident

Peter Schwiebert Dies at Home of Son; Funeral Monday.

BORN IN GERMANY

Peter Schwiebert, age 73. died suddenly at the home of his son, Calvin, north of town Saturday at 7.05 a. m. He had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1.15 o'clock today and at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of this city The Rev. W C. Fleischer officiated and burial was made In Graceland Cemetery.

Mr. Schwiebert Is survived by his son, Calvin, a half-sister, Mrs. Henry Hueners, of Howard. S. D., three grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Schwiebert was born in Germany. Sept. 15, 1857, and came to the United States, following the death of his parents in 1878. In 1877 he came to Iowa and settled in the vicinity of Pleasant Hill; Dec. 23, 1801, he was married to Miss Dora Adams, of Pleasant Hill. He has one son, Calvin.

In 1912 Mr. and Mrs. Schwiebert moved to the home of their son north of this city, and Mrs. Schwiebert died in 1918. He continued making his home with, his son and during the last eight years, he had not been in good health. September of last year he went to Dakota to make a visit with his sister and he came back ill, from which Illness he never recovered. He was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church
