Nels Peterson, an aged shoemaker from Webster City, committed suicide in his room over a butcher shop by placing a revolver against his left side and pulling the trigger with his toe. His heart was torn into pieces. Little is known of him. His wife is supposed to be in Minneapolis. The body was sent to Webster City for burial.
