Paul Joseph Clayton, 32, Jewell, died Saturday, Feb. 3 in Story City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jewell, Rev. Carl Ries officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell. Visitation and scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. this evening at the church. The Becker Funeral Home of Jewell was in charge of arrangements.

Paul Joseph Clayton, son of William J. and Alison Mary Coady Clayton, was born Jan. 6, 1958 in Story City. He was a 1976 graduate of South Hamilton High School and attended business college. He worked as a carpenter for eight years, and also took care of disabled men for four years. He had resided in the San Francisco Bay area until returning to Jewell last fall.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Alison Clayton, Jewell, a sister, Barbara Jean Young, Stanhope; two brothers, Bill Clayton, Dows and Jon Clayton, Penngrove, Calif.; six nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Mr. Clayton was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Jewell.
