LeNore "Lee" Waller, 90, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 17, 2016 surrounded by family. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Stratford with Chaplain Jerry Newswander officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hardin Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

LeNore Ardelle Samuelson was born on September 20, 1925 to Fred and Minnie (Larson) Samuelson in Stratford. She worked for decades on Main Street with many good friends in Dudley's Five and Dime, Hall's Variety and as manager of Stratford Distributing until 1985.

She married Emory Olson in 1942 and two sons, David and Gene, were born to this union. Emory died in 1947 and Lee married Myron (Mike) Waller in 1949 and one daughter, Annette and one son, Carl were born to this union. After Mike passed in 1986, she spent time with George Huedopohl until his death in 1994.

Lee enjoyed traveling for business to Hawaii, New Orleans, San Antonio, Dallas, Chicago and other various locations. She spent many happy days visiting relatives in Colorado, New Mexico, California and Indiana. Her passions were many, starting with her family and friends. She also enjoyed ceramics, reading, bowling, photography, painting, baking, quilting and clipping pictures for scrapbooks that were delivered to area hospitals and nursing homes.

Lee is survived by her sons, David (Barbara) Olson of Aztec, NM, Carl Waller of Stratford, daughter, Annette Waller of Des Moines; grandchildren, Rodney (Tammy) Olson of West Liberty, Kelly (Diego) Jimenez of Colorado, Christopher (Mary) Olson of Texas, Bryan (Renae) Olson of Greeley, CO; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both husbands, son, Gene Olson; grandson, Curtis Olson and brother, Donald Samuelson.

Lee and her family would like to thank the Care Initiatives Hospice for their friendship, guidance and care.
