Jacob Chad Johnson, 23 of Des Moines died on Monday, August 22. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday from 2-4 PM at Boman Funeral Home in Webster City. Memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 PM at the Webster City Church of Christ with burial at Graceland Cemetery. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Jacob was born on February 13, 1993, in Webster City to Chad & Libbie (Tague) Johnson. He attended the Webster City Schools graduating from the Webster City High School in 2011. He then attended Iowa Central Community College where he earned his Associate of Science Degree. Jacob continued his education in Computer Science at Grandview College and Iowa State University.

He enjoyed his membership in his local health club. Jacob spent many nights gaming with his family. He loved hunting, fishing and was an excellent mushroom hunter, and would often bring home buckets full of mushrooms after a day spent hunting. Jacob had a special relationship with his niece Ellie Jo and treasured the time he was able to help care for her. What he loved most was his family.

His family includes: his mom Libbie Tague of Des Moines; dad Chad (Lacie) of Jewell; 2 sisters: Sarah Johnson and Emma Johnson (and her children Ellie Jo and Johnathan); grandparents: Dan and Diane Tague, and Joyce Johnson; three step-brothers: Nolan, Isaac and Aven. He was preceded in death by his Papa Johnson.
