Cindy Kathrine Ballantine, 69, of Harpers Ferry, formerly of Webster City, died on August 1, 2018. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, August 11, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City.

She was born on September 17, 1948, to Larry (Bud) and Elizabeth (Betty) Morton in Webster City. She attended and graduated from the Webster High School. On February 10, 1973, she and John Robert (Bob) Ballantine eloped in Elks Point South Dakota. Cindy worked at the Colonial Manor in Elma, IA.

Cindy was a good cook and enjoyed making meals for family and friends. She collected copper teapots and small porcelain shoes. Cindy loved riding the pontoon boat on the Mississippi with her grandchildren and spending time with friends.

Her family includes her husband of 45 years; 3 children: Jody Head of Stratford, IA, John (Jill) Ballantine of East Dubuque, IL, and Jamie Kellogg of New Hampton, IA; 9 grandchildren: Jacob (Allison) Head of Council Bluffs, IA, Justin (Tracey) Head of Bedford, IA, Joseph Head of Ames, IA, Joshua and Westin Ballantine of East Dubuque, IL, Jace Cajthaml of Charles City, IA, Jackson, Jaelyn, and Jeb Kellogg of New Hampton, IA, and Steve (Karen) Morton of Webster City, IA; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
