Carroll Knickerbocker, 81, of Williams, Iowa, Died on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday August 8, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City.

Carroll was born on July 13, 1937, in Webster City, Iowa to Edward and Ina (Samson) Knickerbocker. He attended School and graduated from Williams High School. Carroll married Mary Myers on December 14, 1956, in Webster City, Iowa. He worked IBM and then for Hamilton County as a maintainer operator until his retirement in 1999.

Carroll Attended MACLife Church in Blairsburg, Iowa. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and University of Iowa Basketball. Carroll spent many hours setting up and working with Model trains and was a craftsman with wood, making many items including rocking horses, scissor holders, clocks, and lighthouses. One of the things he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren.

Carroll’s family includes his wife of 61 years; children: Jackie (Max) Fonken of Williams, and Jody (David) Wagner of Kamrar; grandchildren: Mike, Rachel (Keith) Ben, Sarah, Christin, and Jordan (Whitney); six great-grandchildren: MiKayla, Maxtyn, Jacoby, Ariah, Nya and Owen; brother Richard (Irene) Knickerbocker, and sister Mary C. Heltzen. He was preceded in death by his son Jeff.
