Laura Susan Simms, 80, died at her home on August 23, 2017. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 2 at 10:00 AM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City.

Laura was born on March 16, 1937 to Burton and Alice (Moberly) Simms. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1955 and then attended AIB College of Business. She worked as a Sales Associate for Von Maur in Des Moines then at Younkers in Fort Dodge.

Laura was a member of friends of Iowa Public Television and the P.E.O. She enjoyed time spent at the apartment with her friends, reading, Prestige Club trips, movies with friends and putting puzzles together.

Laura's family includes three sisters and a brother: Alice George of Washington, IA, Doris Laughery of El Cajon, CA, Donald (Darlene) Simms of Numa, IA, and Ramona (John) Zahn of Webster City, IA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Burton Simms.
