DEATH OF H. TEXTRUM

H. Textrum, the aged father of J.F. Textrum and Mrs. J.E. Sogard, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock at his son's home at 714 Douglas Ave. Mr. Textrum, who was more than 82 years of age, had been very feeble for many months and had been confined to his bed for the past few weeks.

Brief funeral services will be held at the Textrum home, Monday morning at 8 o'clock, and at 10 o'clock the remains will be taken to Stanhope, the former home of the Textrum family. There, funeral services will be held in the church formerly attended by the deceased. Interment will be made in the family burial plot.

PLEASANT VALLEY

Friends here received word of the death of Hans Textrum at the home of his son John in Ames Saturday. Mr. Textrum was a resident of this locality for many years. He was highly respected and was a good neighbor, friend and father. He leaves to mourn him one son, John, of Ames, and one daughter, Mrs. Ed Sogard, also of Ames. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the South Marion M.E. church with interment in the South Marion cemetery beside his wife. A daughter, Mrs. Annie McFarland, and one son, Eric, have preceded him in death. Mr. Textrum was nearly 80 years old.

Born Oct. 14, 1836 at Svärdsjö/Enviken, Dalarna, Sweden, the son of Erik Hansson and Sara Andersdotter. Married Lisa (Lizzie) Hansdotter on Nov. 2, 1862 at Enviken. Surname was spelled Tägström in Sweden.
