SERVICES FOR FRANK ROSE, 80

Stratford Man Dies at Home of Son; Was Justice of the Peace

STRATFORD, Iowa, Sept. 9 - Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist church for Frank Rose, 80, who died Friday at the home of his son, Franklin.

He held the office of justice of the peace for several years until this summer when his health began to fail.

Frank Rose, son of John and Matilda Rose, was born in Stockholm, Sweden, Nov. 1, 1860. He came to this country in 1865.

He was united in marriage in 1900 to Matilda Quick Johnson and to this union was born one son, Franklin. Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Mrs. Amanda Fricks, and a brother, August.

He leaves to mourn his death his son, a stepson, Columbus, two grandchildren, John and Beverly Rose, a brother, Alfred, of Stratford, and three sisters: Mrs. Hilda Johnston, Stratford; Mrs. Ida Anderson, Harcourt and Mrs. Anna Reavean, of Denver.

There are other relatives and many friends and neighbors.
