Lorena Peterson, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Richard [Anna Sophia Engvall] Peterson, was born May 29, 1868, and died in the Swedish Old Peoples home in Boone Feb. 24, 1937, at the age of 68 years, 8 months, 25 days.

She had been in failing health for several years and had spent the last two winters in the home in Boone.

She was the last member of the immediate family, her parents, and brothers having passed on some years ago. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Arvin Jones, of Des Moines, and Mrs. Marie Paul, of Burbank, Calif., and one nephew, Clarence Peterson of Stratford. Two sisters-in-law also survive: Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Emma Angstrom, of Stratford.

She was a member of the local Baptist church and was in attendance when her health permitted it.

Funeral services were held in the local Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were conducted by the Rev. A.E. Appelquist. Miss Ann Lindblom and Mrs. Marie Martens sang several songs at the service following which the remains were interred in the South Marion Cemetery. The pallbearers were Johnny Larson, Clarence Patterson, Fred Patterson, Budd Patterson, Earl Patterson, Lawrence Larson.
