Mrs. Caroline Jones Dies

Mrs. Caroline Jones, 78, mother of Clarence Jones, of Ames, died early this morning at the Story County hospital at Nevada. Death followed surgery. She had been in the hospital 11 days and had been ill for two weeks.

Mrs. Jones, who had been living at the Sunset home in Story City, came to Ames in 1931. She was born on April 29, 1873 in Sweden. She was married to Alfred Jones on March 9, 1912, at Jamestown, N.Y. Mr. Jones died in 1937.

She was a member of the Lutheran church. Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Adams chapel with the Rev. Paul Boe, of the Lutheran church, in charge. Burial will be in the South Marion cemetery north of Boone.

Only survivors is her son Clarence.
