Chester E. Johnson
Dies Monday

Chester E. Johnson, 79, a resident at Ruth's Nursing Home, Boone, died Monday, April 6. Before his retirement he hauled cream for Boone Dairies.

Mr. Johnson, son of John and Emma Samuelson Johnson, was born near Stanhope, June 24, 1890.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Ralston, Iowa, and Mrs. Mabel Essick of Laurens, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Holmes, minister at the First United Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may start calling at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Wednesday noon.
